The Gerry Colvin Band

Merry Hell

A Winter Union

Monday 19 December 2022

Gerry co-founded and fronted the legendary John Peel favourite ’Terry & Gerry'. He also worked in Nashville as a professional songwriter and back in the UK collaborated with Alison Moyet, co-writing on an album project. He penned numerous TV themes, three musicals, two film scores and wrote and presented for BBC Radio 2. His folk-pop band 'The Atlantics’ toured extensively including a slot at Glastonbury Festival where Gerry was compere, and in 1995 Gerry co-founded the five piece folk band Colvin Quarmby.

Following on from the demise of Colvin Quarmby, Gerry Colvin returns with a new band (Jerome Davis on double bass, Lyndon Webb on guitar, and Trish Keelan on accordion and backing vocals). Gerry is one of the finest singer songwriters and performers this country has produced – come along and see him for yourselves. (

Great voice; wicked sense of humour; enthusiastic; energetic beyond belief but also able to produce songs which encompass all that and a poignancy and understanding of some difficult sensitive subjects. He is above all deeply appreciative of the part his audience plays in the evening and of the efforts of his band as an ensemble and as individuals.
