Donations to Benefit Family of MUSL Referee John Bieniewicz

Update - July 14: Thanks to the generosity of our members, Ford Soccer Club will donate $3,000 to the family of the MUSL league referee who recently passed away, John Bieniewicz. Great job stepping up to help. While we have stopped taking donations, they are still accepted at any Huntington Bank or at Johnbieniewiczmemorial.com.

July 9: In light of the recent, tragic events that occurred on the soccer field during an Over 30 MUSL game this past Sunday, June 29th, your Ford Soccer Club is inviting all of our FSC membership to consider giving a financial donation to help the Bieniewicz family with the impending costs they will face from their terrible loss.

Our Ford Soccer Club PayPal site has been updated with a payment choice of “Donation for Ref Family”. Click on the “Payment” button and the PayPal site will come up. Under the “Teams” pull down menu, choose “Donation for Ref Family” and click “Buy Now”. You can enter any amount you would like to donate.

There is no place for such senseless violence in the game of soccer. Even during competition, we are all ambassadors for the game and must show respect for officials, opponents, teammates, and fans in word and deed.

Our thoughts & prayers go out to the Bieniewicz family during this tragic time, and we pray that they find comfort & peace. Our Ford Soccer Club community mourns with you.
