Financial Goals and Performance
.
The Amelia Edwards Endowment Fund was started soon after the formation of the FOMCBCG organization. It has been the Board of Directors’ goal to make this fund grow by special donations being placed in the fund and allowed to remain as long term investments. The Amelia Edwards Endowment Fund was established to recognize the contribution of talent and goodwill Amelia provided to the Friends of Mill Creek Baptist Church Graveyard, Inc. organization. Amelia was directly resposnible for the establishment of the organization and played an important role in almost all of its significant accomplishments for the rest of her life. Her son Bill Edwards now serves on the board as Treasurer.
The board of directors receive no compensation for their work in preserving, maintaining and/or improving the graveyard. The board meets three times each year usually at the The Buchanan Log House on Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, TN.
