I think Terry Dawson is on Dad's left in the picture above and below. Terry and Dad were billeted with Terry's relations Ruth Wicksey and became close friends. Wray Wicksey (Son of Ruth) was born 13 March 1944 just before Terry and Dad returned to the UK.

Brize Norton December 1944. (On Parade 3rd from the left) The Station was used for various forms of flying training until July 1942, when it became the home of the Heavy Glider Conversion Unit (HGCU), later renamed No 21 HGCU, which remained at RAF Brize Norton until 31 December 1945.
