David contacted us and passes this on about his Headwind.
"My plane is a rebuild of C-IGWN built by Don Heffren and first flown back around 2000.
I have almost finished the rebuild and I guess the two prominent features are the Verner 5V
engine and the enclosed cockpit for winter flying on skis.
The 5 cylinder Verner radial is direct drive, weighs only 119 lbs , has
2.7 litre displacement and provides 60 HP at 2,300 rpm but 133 ft.lbs
of torque. We've installed a 69 x 48 prop and it starts and pulls very well.
Here are 3 pics...as I bought it, the cabin enclosure almost done and the engine outside for
fitting of new aileron cables.
