Points to Remember When Traveling with a Pet on Spirit Airlines (Policies)
You must have the Rabies Vaccination Certificate for your exotic pets as snakes, spiders and rodents are not allowed.
A maximum of two pets are allowed in a container, but only one container is allowed per guest. Animals must remain in the cage during the entire flight.
The animals have to stand and move comfortably in the container. Your pet cannot be sick, violent or distressed.
The combined weight of the cage and the pet cannot exceed 40 pounds.
If pets are found to be offensive, they will be removed.
Pet must be at least eight weeks old. You can sit anywhere except the front row and emergency rows.
Passengers who have their pets with them are encouraged to go beyond the standard check-in guidelines. The carrier must be no more than 18 x 14 x 9 inches and fit under the seat.
