I chose to do a Journal for my ELA component.
December 2014- January 2015:
I mainly caught up in PBL tasks. My chemistry teacher did not start PBL until it was very late. I am currently doing the project part. Another teacher provided me with the materials required for the project and took photos of me doing the project. That teacher transferred me to his PBL students group since there is no telling whether my actual chemistry teacher would actually start.
February 28, 2015:
I mainly continued working on the tasks. I posted the SS conection and finalized the investigation part for the "My PBL Project" page. For task 6 I chose to do a second driving question which is: "The sun emist UV rays so, would exposing the tonic water to the sun cause the tonic water to glow like the UV light source?" Now, I am hoping for a sunny day so I can film my second driving question, and take pictures. Now, all that's left is to do the second driving question, finalize the ELA component and do the video.
March 5: 2015:
I investigated, photographed, and filmed the second driving question part. I was glad that today was a sunny day so I would be able to do the second driving question part. Upon doing the tasks, I realized that I had a few unanswered questions that I needed to ask my PBL teacher. I needed to know if the second driving question will need to be a part of the video and how to mention the ELA component and SS connection in the video.
March 18: 2015:
I realized that the photos and video I took of the second driving question needed to be redone since they lacked quality and contained errors, so I re-filmed the second driving question part and retook the pictures needed. I also reposted the pictures under task 6. All that's left to do is to film the rest of the video and update the site.
March 19: 2015:
I filmed the rest of the video which happened to be the original driving question part. I put the entire video together using movie maker and uploaded it to Youtube as well. I reedited the movie until I was satisfied with the way it was. Now all that is left would be to attatch the video to the website and create the handout.
March 20: 2015:
I attached the video into the website in the home page. I created the hand out using microsoft word, and attached that to the website as well. I looked over my website and edited the areas that needed editing. I am now done with the PBL, now I just have to get it approved.
March 31: 2015:
I received the feedback from the people who approve the PBL projects. They said that I needed to lengthen and redo some tasks. That's what I did. Now, I'm waiting for them to recheck my website and hopefully approve it.
