Outside the chemistry lab

President, Cambridge University Entrepreneurs, 2015-2016

Cambridge University Entrepreneurs (CUE) is a student-run society that organises one of the most successful business creation competitions in the world. Our goal is to promote and nurture entrepreneurship in Cambridge and beyond. Our yearly "Ideas take flight" business creation competition, together with our Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition are complemented by a number of training, mentoring and networking events aimed to help you transform an idea into a viable business in less than a year. Since 1999 we have awarded over £600k in prize money to over 500 aspiring entrepreneurs. Over 60 start-ups have been created as a result of our competition, most of which have grown to be successful companies, producing a few hundreds full time jobs in Cambridge. Collectively, CUE alumni companies have gone on to secure over £150 million pounds of investment with several companies going on to make successful exits.

Rowing & running

When I'm not in the lab I enjoy running and rowing. I am a proud member of the Churchill College Boat Club at Cambridge University, having participated in the May bumps in 2015 and 2016.

In March 2017 I have completed the Cambridge Half Marathon in 2 hours 2 minutes, raising almost £400 for Cancer Research UK.
