Staff

The Board of Directors govern the preschool, as well as authorize and control all expenditures. The Board and Teaching Staff exercise day-to-day control and direction of preschool operations. The teaching staff is responsible for planning lessons, instruction and supervision of the children.

Preschool Teacher/Director

Victoria Hurd

Victoria is our Lead Preschool Teacher. She has five years experience in Roanoke City Elementary Education - Preschool - 5th Grade (special education - autism). She is in her tenth year at Fincastle Preschool where she started as an assistant to the Lead Teacher. Victoria also has twenty-five years experience in Banking and Finance.

Victoria has lived in Botetourt County for nineteen years. She feels that she has been blessed and rewarded in having the opportunity to teach, share, learn and love the children and their families during her service at Fincastle Preschool. She believes as teachers, we love, nurture, teach the children well and believe in them, for they are our future. She feels that we mix in love, caring and kindness, add a bit of patience and top it off with faith.

Victoria enjoys gardening, sports and being outdoors.
