Ferran Elias

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

I received my PhD in Economics from Columbia University in 2015. My research uses empirical and statistical methods to study labor markets and the interaction between governments and markets.

From 2015 to 2017, I was an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Copenhagen. I then worked as a data scientist and consultant before returning to academia in 2021. Since then, I have held positions at Universitat de València (2021–2023) and Universitat de Girona (2023–2026), before joining Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
