Dr. Fernando Israel Ireta Muñoz

I am a Doctor Engineer at Expleo Group, France. I'm working with the Electronics & Embedded Systems (EES) team as Embedded System Software Developer. Our Goal is to investigate novel techniques for localization and navigation for autonomous vehicles. 

I have been involved in autonomous navigation research and currently working on improving the estimation of trajectories and generation of accurate 3D maps using sensor fusion and semantic understanding. These 3D maps will be useful as a database for mobile robotic platforms in order to perform autonomous navigation while updating the information of the maps. I am currently working on how to generate 3D maps while localizing accurately the sensors.

My research interest includes robotics, SLAM, computer vision, embedded systems, digital instrumentation, hardware and software development, and robot vision for autonomous navigation extended to artificial intelligence.
