Principal Investigator
Ji-Hee Kim is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Pusan National University (PNU), Republic of Korea. She received her B.S. (2005), M.S. (2007), and Ph.D. (2011) in Physics from Chungnam National University. From 2011 to 2013, she conducted postdoctoral research at Rice University and the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, focusing on ultrafast and high-field spectroscopy. In 2013, she joined the Institute for Basic Science (IBS), Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics (CINAP), as a Research Professor and later served as a Core Project Team Leader (2017–2023). She was an Assistant Professor at Sungkyunkwan University in Suwon (2019–2023) before joining PNU in 2023. Her research integrates ultrafast spectroscopy with device physics in low-dimensional materials, focusing on carrier multiplication and interfacial hot-carrier extraction for device-level signal amplification.
