I am currently an advisor to the Secretary of State for Economy and Business Support  at the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business. I am also on leave from my position as an Assistant Professor (with tenure) at CUNEF Universidad. I completed my PhD in economics at  Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

I am an applied economist with research interests in urban economics, the economics of crime, political economy, and labour economics .

My current research focuses on the determinants of residential suburbanization and the aggregate effects of different city developments.
