The following information is obsolete but is available to show the history of the evolution of my ideas...

I am writing a book about my theory about consciousness and how it is related to spirituality. A rough outline of the ideas that will be in that book are shown in this PDF document (of a PowerPoint presentation) which is shown at the bottom of this page.

Subsets of this long presentation (and earlier versions) were used in the following talks I have given:

• I presented a version of my talk at three different Atheist meetups in the Bay area. The most recent was at the Atheist Community of San Jose on July 8, 2015. A PDF of that talk is available at the bottom of this page...
• I presented a talk about my theory at the Mensa Annual Gathering in Louisville KY on July 3, 2015
• I presented at both the Santa Cruz and San Francisco Consciousness Hacking Meetups in 2014.
• On Oct 20, 2010 I made a presentation titled "Two Conscious Entities in One Brain - Explains Spirituality and Enlightenment" at the Science and Nonduality Conference in San Rafael, CA. This 25 minute talk was the 6th of 7 talks at a concurrent session on "Scientific Approaches to Nonduality" and was given to a packed room of about 70 people. It was, I think, very well received and I got a number of positive comments after the talk. I also gave talks there in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
• On Dec 13, 2009 I made a presentation at the Bay Area AI MeetUp:
• Every 2 years I attend the Towards a Science of Consciousness Conference in Tucson, Arizona since the 1998 conference (which was the 3rd conference). I presented posters at several conferences since 2004.
