Final Meeting of the PRIN 2017 project

Lecce, May 18-19, 2023

The SMOCS project "Stochastic Models for Complex Systems" (PRIN 2017, Project no. 2017JFFHSH) has been devoted to the development of mathematical methodologies (both analytic and numerical) in order to describe the behavior and the evolution of a complex system iwhose behavior is uncertain and may be conveniently described in the language of Probability.

Stochastic models are nowadays ubiquitous in science, but sometimes they are built under strong assumptions that may limit their use in applications. In this project, we have focused on the study of stochastic systems in order to relax some usual assumptions such, the Gaussianity in a finite-dimensional system, the Brownian motion in a time-varying context, the lack-of-memory property of a stochastic process (or its related Markovian assumption).

The final meeting of SMOCS project aims at bringing together researchers and scientists interested in the last developments of complex systems, with particular emphasis on copula theory and dependence, reliability theory, evolutionary models, semi-Markov models, and neural networks.

The event will take place in person from May 18th to May 19th, 2023, in the city center of Lecce (Italy).

The registration is free of charge. For organizational reasons, however, it is required to register by April 30th, 2023. Please, fill in the following form.
