Bro. Jonathan Montgomery, Youth Pastor
At the age of 13, Bro. Jonathan placed his faith in Jesus and trusted Christ as his Lord and Savior. As a new believer, he realized God had a purpose for his life and that all Christians had a responsibility to serve the Lord. So he began to fervently pray that God would reveal to him how he could best serve Jesus. It was during this season of prayer that the Lord made known to him a special calling to serve Christ in ministry. So at the age of 14, Bro. Jonathan publicly surrendered to the gospel ministry.
During his early college years, Bro. Jonathan served as the Associate Pastor and then as the Interim Pastor at Temple Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. For over six years, he served as the Associate Pastor and Minister of Youth and Outreach at First Baptist Church in Springhill, Louisiana. Since May of 2011, Bro. Jonathan has served as Youth Pastor here at First Baptist Church in Taylor, Arkansas.
Bro. Jonathan’s goal in ministry is to make disciples, equip families, and serve the world through both local and global missions.
2 Timothy 2:2 “And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.”
Bro. Josh Wilson, Music DirectorAfter surrendering to special ministry in 1994, the Lord led Bro. Josh Wilson down a path of music education, including concert bands, marching bands, praise bands, choirs, and singing groups that provided him with the experience and knowledge to lead music in worship services. In 1997, his calling was made clear when he was blessed with the opportunity to begin serving in this capacity, and has continued in that calling ever since.
Bro. Josh became the music director of First Baptist Church in June of 2003. It is his belief that all believers, regardless of their personal opinions of their talent, have the responsibility to use those gifts in which God has given them to promote His glory and praise.
I Peter 4:10 - "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."
