About the Festival

The festival is an educational program sponsored by Save Our Rural Area (SORA). The volunteers who produce the Festival are local residents, farmers, families and small businesses.

The Festival’s purpose is to promote the importance of our Farmlands and the need to preserve the land for future generations and to celebrate the rich agriculture history of the area. The Festival provides a venue to showcase our locally grown farm produce, locally made/crafted value added farm products, traditional farm and cottage crafts.  There are also farm animals and equipment and agricultural exhibits and demonstrations.

The festival will celebrate these traditions and values by having a tractor parade in the morning, a farmers market,  local food, entertainment (dancing and music), petting zoo with small farm animals, music by local singers and instrumentalists, hayride.
