Course Description: The course aims to introduce 5G New Radio (NR) and its radio access technology (RAT). The frequency range (FR) 1 and FR2 are introduced, and the non-standalone (NSA) and standalone (SA) deployment modes are discussed. Various RAT techniques are investigated, include Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA), mmWave, beamforming, carrier aggregation, and so on. Students can learn these RATs in 5G NR and the-state-of-the-art, so that the research topics of 5G NR can be further investigated.
