Course Description: The course aims to introduce 5G-Advanced and the candidate techniques of next generation radio access network (NG-RAN), which includes: (1) Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS); (2) Flexible Spectrum Integration; (3)5G New Radio; (4) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle-aided RAN; (5) High Altitude Platform System, etc. The course will introduce 5G’s current status and 5G-Advanced’s research trends, and will also investigate 6G’s candidate techniques, especially the 5G NR, UAV-aided RAN, and RIS.
