Falk Mazelis
Position:
I am a Senior Economist in the Monetary Policy Strategy Division, Directorate General Monetary Policy, at the European Central Bank.
My primary research fields are monetary economics and macro-finance using empirical and theoretical methods.
Education:
I received my Ph.D. in Economics under the supervision of Prof. Michael Burda from Humboldt University Berlin, where I was a Research Fellow at the Collaborative Research Center 649: Economic Risk, a Research Fellow at the Research Training Group 1659: Interdependencies in the Regulation of Markets and a participant in the Berlin Doctoral Program in Economics and Management Science.
During my PhD studies, I was also a Visiting Student Research Collaborator with Prof. Markus Brunnermeier at the Bendheim Center for Finance at Princeton University.
Prior to that I received a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in large-scale electricity networks at the Technical University Berlin.
