This website is maintained by Kevin Troop and Colin Mitchell-Smith, who along with one or two others constitute the Faldingworth Memorial Group.

The group's aims are

Firstly: To keep alive the memory of those who served, both on the ground and in the air, at RAF/PAF Faldingworth during and immediately after the Second World War

Secondly; to maintain and improve the Faldingworth Memorials as described on this website.

The group is entirely voluntary and receives no official financial backing, and as such relies on donations to fund everything that is done. Without those donations, everything listed on this web site would not exist as most items were either donated or money was given to enable us to purchase items.

Without money being donated memorial days could not be held.

The Faldingworth Memorials are located at two sites:

FALDINGWORTH CHURCH

In Faldingworth All Saints church which is located on the A46 in Lincolnshire, there is a memorial plaque, a stained glass window, candlesticks, memorial books, commemorative gates, etc..

FALDINGWORTH AIRFIELD MEMORIAL

The RAF Faldingworth Memorial is located at the eastern end of the remains of RAF Faldingworth's main runway.

Visitors to the airfield memorial, please note:

Access will be restricted for operational and security purposes.

It is therefore essential, to save a wasted journey, that contact is made before travelling to Faldingworth

FALDINGWORTH'S PUBLIC HOUSE "THE COACH AND HORSES" AS WELL AS PROVIDING GOOD FOOD AND DRINK , ALSO CONTAINS MANY ITEMS INCLUDING PHOTOGRAPHS AND AIRCRAFT PARTS LINKED TO RAF/PAF FALDINGWORTH.

A PICTURE PAINTED BY THE LOCAL CHILDREN DEPICTING PREPARTIONS FOR THE "MANNA" OPERATION ,IS KEPT IN THE SCHOOL, BUT IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO VIEW ON SPECIAL OCCASIONS WHEN THE SCHOOL IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Henryk Drozdz diaries

On this web site we have now placed a copy of the diaries of Flight Sergeant Henryk Drozdz who was based at Faldingworth airfield. This is one mans emotional account of life at Faldingworth.

We thank Greg Drozdz the son of Henryk for allowing us to share his fathers personal memories , we also thank him for all the support he gives us at Faldingworth.
