Welcome to Fernando Aguilar-Galindo Rodríguez web page
PhD in Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM, Madrid, Spain), interested in Physical-Chemistry and more specifically in Quantum Chemistry.
Currently, I am Assistant Professor (Profesor Ayudante Doctor) at UAM.
My main research lines are the electron dynamics in low-dimensional systems (in the femto or attosecond timescale) and the chemical reactivity (in the gas phase and on surfaces), in both ground and excited states. To this, I use different theoretical techniques, from DFT to high level multiconfigurationals methods as CASPT2 or methods base in the use of Wave Packet Propagations (WPP). I use standard software (Gaussian, Molcas, VASP...) but I also develop my own codes.
Beyond academia, my hobbies are sports, music and nature.
You can find me at the Chemistry Department, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, or you can send me an email:
