CONDITIONAL FORMATTING
Formula Use & Explanation:
Conditional Formatting is used when you want to automatically highlight cells based on their content.
You need to specify a condition and as and when that condition is met the cells will change into the colour and font that you want.
If the condition is not met the cell colour will not change.
You can set a maximum of 3 conditions at a time.
Note: If you need to have more than 3 conditions in the same sheet, then click here.
Example Used:
Format the font and colour of the cells based on the Designations of each employee.
CONDITIONAL FORMATTING STEPS IN DETAIL
STEP 1
Select the cells that you need to format, as shown below.
Next click on Format from the Toolbar and then click on Conditional formatting.
STEP 2
From the dropdowns circled in red select Equal to .
In the first condition type Executive, as shown.
In the second condition type Manager, as shown.
STEP 3
Now click on format & specify the colours and the fonts that you want.
