PUBLIC CONSULTATION - PROPOSALS TO ABOLISH EWENNY COMMUNITY COUNCIL
The Local Democracy and Boundary Commission has published Draft Proposals in relation to a review of the community arrangements in the Vale of Glamorgan Council area.
One of the proposals is to abolish Ewenny Community Council and create a new, larger Community Council covering St Bride’s Major, Ogmore-by-Sea and Ewenny.
Ewenny Community Council does not consider this proposal is in the best interests of residents in Ewenny, Corntown, Tair Croes and Llampha. It is our view that retaining a Community Council focussed solely on serving and representing the residents of Ewenny, Corntown, Tair Croes and Llampha allows us to best represent the interests of our community.
If you agree the interests of our local community are best served by retaining Ewenny Community Council it is important you let the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission and Vale of Glamorgan Council know your views.
Please sign our petition (which will be at the Village shop in Ewenny - just ask at the counter) - and you can also send your views by email to consultations@boundaries.wales
or in the post to: Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales, Hastings House, Fitzalan Place, Cardiff CF24 0BL
