Below are some questions frequently asked of the Executive Board by homeowners and prospective home buyers. This information is not intended to be all inclusive and does not have any precedence over the HOA Covenants or Amendments. Those are legal binding documents. As always, you can contact any of the Executive Board Members for additional information.
How long does it take the Executive Board to approve a request?
Answer: The Executive Board strives to handle all requests in a timely manner not withstanding any delays in required paperwork, township permits, etc.
Do I need a permit?
Answer: When brainstorming house improvement projects, please be aware that most require a Zoning Permit. Fences, sheds, ponds, patios, and uncovered decks 30 inches or less above grade all require a Zoning Permit. Decks 30 inches or more above grade, additions, and patio roofs require both a Zoning and Building Permit. Permit requirements for setbacks, height, impervious coverage regulations, etc. can be found on the Township website under the Planning and Zoning Page. The permit forms can be found on the website at www.sstwp.org/documentcenter/view/10067.
