ON THE TRAIL AND IN THE WATER.....
Hiking, canoeing, swimming, wildlife watching, fishing, or just flipping around on the stand-up board or tipping the canoe in the dark! Here are some photos and videos of the sights and sounds of Silver Lake. The first shot it the east side of Silver Lake Trail, a magical journey any time of the year with a real deep woods feeling, as it backs up to miles of protected Wild Forest.
Fun for Everyone!
Just about everyone can catch a fish in these very lightly fished waters. Often, people catch them right off the dock! Little people enjoy the "Silver Lake Riviera". Others, love an evening or late night canoe trip in the peaceful waters. Swimming is usually good June - September, though we have dipped in October, on ocassion! Late fall is lovely, too - more beautiful that one might imagine and very much the undisturbed, wild forest. Beavers are hard at work in the Mill Pond, building their winter retreats.
