Me, in my graduation garb!
Hello and welcome to my website!

I am a Project Scientist for the SKA project, working at the SKA Organisation HQ at Jodrell Bank in the UK.

Before this I was Dynamic Theme Scientist for CAASTRO, and a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow within the Centre for Astrophysics & Supercomputing at the Swinburne University of Technology, in Melbourne. Before that I was a post-doc in the Fundamental Physics in Radio Astronomy ("Fundi") Group at the Max Planck Institut fuer Radioastronomie (MPIfR) in Bonn, Germany. I have also had two short stints as a post-doc at the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics. I completed a PhD in pulsar astrophysics (title: "The Transient Radio Sky") at Jodrell Bank in 2010, a Masters in mathematics at DAMTP in Cambridge (at Trinity College, where Newton, Chandrasekhar and others worked) in 2007 and an undergraduate degree in Physics & Astronomy at the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2006.

That photo on the right is me on the day of my PhD graduation way back in 2010 - it's not everyday one gets to wear a cape!
