Gladys Yacely Aponte, M.S.Ed., is a dual language bilingual teacher in New York City. She received a master's in Special Education and Dual Language Bilingual Education from Bank Street College, and a BA in Elementary Education and English Language Arts from Hunter College.
Gladys emphasizes the importance of centering young students' voices and being transparent about curricula and topics traditionally left out of the classroom, such as linguistics.
