Research
My main research interests are: Energy Economics, Regulation, and Industrial Organization.
These research interests are based on the conception that a better knowledge of the economic principles in the fields of regulation and industrial organization facilitates materializing the -potentially- positive welfare effects of markets liberalization.
Currently I have three main research lines:
Electricity Markets
Power Networks
Energy Poverty
And my research focuses on:
The welfare effects of electricity market design
The interaction between flexible sources and renewables in electricity markets and systems
The retail and wholesale price effects of policies and regulation in the electricity sector
The potential value of energy storage
The analysis of energy poverty, measurement, characterization, policies design and assessment
You will find more information about my research on the Publication and Research Projects sections
