RESEARCH
The research activities in Energy Systems Laboratory focus on the understanding of physicochemical nature of host-guest compounds and their applications for energy storage and production. Gas hydrate, well known host-guest compound, is one of our research interests. Multi-function hydrate inhibitor for flow assurance, methane production from subsea gas hydrate layer, hydrate-based gas storage, separation, and transportation, and functional icy materials for energy devices will be the topics of future research projects.
