Scoped Variants

Numerous EAL rifles have been come across with the receiver drilled and tapped for scope mounts. While many of these rifles may have been a victim of bubba and co., Warren Wheatfield indicates that the military did purchase scopes for some of their rifles. Per Wheatfield, scopes were Tasco fixed 4x. They were mounted to the rifles using the Parker Hale A29 mount and Parker Hale RALS-3 rings.

The rifle below was seen at a local gun show. The sales tag indicated it was serial number 5221 although this could not be verified. It is equipped with the PH A29 mount and correct rings however the receiver shows additional holes for a differing mount. There were also no military acceptance markings seen on the rifle although this may not necessarily preclude military issue.

No further information is available at this time. For pictures of some other common mounts found on the EAL, please see Factory Mods or Bubba? page.

For those with "old eyes" and looking for options to sope your EAL....here is a non drill and tap option mount that will work with the Type A and Type B rifles. https://addleyprecision.com/product-category/scope-mounts/
