BACKGROUND (OVERVIEW) OF

I-TECHS COMPUTER TRAINING PROGRAM 

I-TechS Computer Training Program is a quality computer training program which focuses on providing computer literacy and skills development in Computer Software (Microsoft Office Suit) (Microsoft Word Processing, Power Point Presentation, Financial Spreadsheets (Excel), System Networking, and other computer applications) to the people of Nimba and Liberia at large. We are located in Deakehmein Community, Ganta City, Nimba County. Republic of Liberia, West Africa.

The term educational technology refers to the use of technology in educational settings, whether it be elementary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, corporate training sites, or independent study at home. This training program, however, will focus on educational technology in these areas.

The primary purpose for establishing this training program is to enhance students learning and preparing people for job market. Because technology has been successful in helping people learn more effectively and efficiently.

Following are a few goals of computer being used to support I-TechS Computer Training Program:

·        Building student capacity for research,

·        Making student inquiry more realistic,

·        Enabling students to present information in appealing forms,

·        Offering students access to learning resources within and beyond the school

·        Getting people prepare for the job market and

·        Equipping people for the technology world

Student research. Students once relied upon local and school libraries and their printed reference materials to research topics. Now, however, I-TechS Computer Training Program  will  provide access to digital versions of these references–and to libraries worldwide.
