“We have to dare to be ourselves, however frightening or strange that self may prove to be.”
- May Sarton
I am currently studying in class 11 of S.N.K. school.
How easy it is to think that you know yourself, but most of the times, it seems almost too difficult to put to paper that which you know. There are so many questions that I have, most of them unanswered. The most important of these unanswered, and at times, unanswerable questions, are about myself.
To know the world, you must first know your own self.
It’s a pity that all important things are difficult to achieve, yet I will try.
I dream of leaving my mark on this world, be remembered for something even oblivion wouldn’t wipe.
I am an avid reader, and a believer in fiction. I believe in the power of words, in the power of stories and characters. I believe that believing just enough in something, will make it real. I like to write too- conjure up worlds, devise plots and construct characters and emotions.
I like traveling, and exploring new places.
I believe in helping people to the best of my abilities, and I wish to start my own Non-profit business some day.
I care deeply for my family and my friends. I respect them and cherish their company dearly. These people make me the person I am, motivate me, and inspire me. I would like to thank them all for their unwavering trust in me. These people are, my father Sandeep Parekh, my mother Dhara Parekh, my sister Radhika, my grandparents Ilaben and Prafulbhai Parekh, and my dear friend Diya Sheth.
There are plenty of attributes that I value. I value business persons who built their businesses from scratch without outside help. I value confidence and wit and optimism. I value innovation and creating products that didn’t exist before. I value businesses that give back to society and help alleviate the condition of those not equally privileged.
The following E Portfolio is a compilation of the work that I did during this academic year, under the masterful guidance of our teacher, Bijal Damani.
