Fonix - ESO and Batxillerat

On Saturday, 27th February, Alexandra Teixidó from 1rW, Judit Llobera from 2nW and Catherine Ada Eli from 3rA represented Ins Joan Oró in the 9th English Competition for Catalan School "Fonix" Good luck!!!!

Alexandra Teixidó went to the final in Barcelona and she was 5th in her category. Well done. Congratulations!!!!

The English Week - 1st ESO

In April, 1st ESO students enjoyed a week playing sports, doing activities and having fun at Santa Susanna. But the best thing was that all students could realise that the English they learn in class is useful to communicate and do fun activities.

An English Play at School - ESO

Wednesday, 6th April, all the students in ESO and Batxillerat attended a play in English. This year, we watched "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", a new version of Washington's Irving's classic tale.

Sleepy Hollow is a small town in 18th century USA legendary for its ghosts and superstitions. Here two young men, Ichabod Crane, the dorky schoolmaster and Brom Bones, the local cool guy are determined to impress the bright and beautiful Katrina Van tassel. But what does Katrina think about all this unwanted attention? All becomes clear with a phantasmagorical finale during the town’s haunting Hallowe’en party! The three actors from the theater company Clever Pants were helped by some of our students: Pol, Zacarias and many others.

USA Exchange - Batxillerat

This activity started in 1990. A group of students in Batxillerat go on an exchange programme to Kittery, Maine, USA. We visit some towns in Maine such as Salem, Augusta, etc and also in Massachussets such as Boston or Plymouth Plantation. We also spend some days in New York city. And of course, we live and are part of a real High School, Traip Academy in Kittery.

When they visit us, they go to Barcelona, Tarragona, the Pyrenees and we also show them the way we live and enjoy life here in Lleida.
