About Catalonia

My country is Catalonia and I think it’s the most incredible country in the world. It’s next to the sea. More than seven million people live in Catalonia. The capital city of Catalonia is Barcelona. It’s a very beautiful city with a lot of interesting buildings and monuments. The most famous football team is FCB. Some of the best footballers of the world play in this team.

Antoni Gaudí was a famous architect who was born in this country. He built some amazing buildings and nowadays lots of tourists visit this city to enjoy them. One of the most incredible is “Sagrada Familia”.

The river Ebre is the longest river in Catalonia. It’s about 900 kilometres long. Pica d’Estats, in Pirineus, is the highest mountain. It’s about 3143 metres high.

Catalan people enjoy a lot eating delicious food. The most typical dish is “Pa amb tomàquet” and foreign people taste it when visit our country.

In our typical dance we are all together , dancing in a circle. It’s called Sardana. We ‘d like to finish our text with a sentence: Catalonia is a fantastic place to live!
