We offer a variety of land management services:
Timber Sales
Our competitive bidding process assures you the highest possible profit from the sale of forest resources. We will oversee every phase of the timber sales and harvesting process. This includes boundary line delineation and marking, the marking and scaling of every tree to be harvested, contacting potential buyers, writing the contracts, permit acquisition, and the oversight of the timber harvest and final clean-up.
Timber Trespass Evaluation
This is the process of determining if, and how much timber was taken negligently from a particular property. We can assess the value of the timber and how the landowner should be compensated for their loss. We can also assist the landowner, through their lawyer, in the prosecution of the guilty party(s).
Timber Appraisals
This is the valuation of the timber on a particular property. We accomplish this by "cruising" the property, measuring and scaling all of the merchantable timber, and providing the landowner with accurate value of the timber on their property.
Forest Management Planning
Having an up to date Forest Management Plan for your property can help you accomplish your goals as a landowner. This might include enrollment into the New York State Forest Tax Law Program (480-A), proving landowners up to an 80% break on their property taxes. We can also enroll landowners into the American Tree Farm System and the Quality Deer Management Associations Land Certification Program. We can assist you in determining what type of plan, if any, is appropriate for your needs.
Timber Stand Improvement (TSI)
We can assist you by marking and/or cutting low value, undesirable or poor quality trees from your property. This can make room for high value, desirable species to grow. TSI can produce a substantial long-term return on the investment to the landowner.
