Language Acquisition Lab (LAL) at Emory

seeks to understand how humans acquire language. How do babies acquire language? What are some biases or mechanisms that adults have when they acquire their second language? How would Heritage Language Leaners be similar/different from Second Language Learners? We conduct experiments on diverse populations to answer these questions.
