I also participated in the Rye Arts Center Student/Member/Instructor Exhibition June 6-27, and will be participating In the Rye Arts Center Painters on Location Benefit this October.

The 2015 Rye Chamber of Commerce Visitors Guide was published and distributed, and featured one of my paintings on the cover.

I am planning my eleventh solo exhibition to be held in September at The Rye Free Reading Room.

2014 Roundup

Earlier this year, I exhibited my painting, "The Artist's Room", at the 60th Annual Exhibition of the National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic, at the Salmagundi Club in New York City. I also participated with two paintings in The Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Members Show, also at the Salmagundi.

This year I was honored to have been elected an "Elected Artist Member" of the American Artists Professional League.

Two of my new paintings were accepted  in 2 national juried shows - The American Artists Professional League 86th Grand National Exhibition at the Salmagundi Club November 11-21; second, at the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club 118th Open Juried Exhibition at the National Arts Club December 2-19.

I am thrilled that the classes I teach at the Rye Arts Center have grown in number, from three to four; I now have 32 students - 30 adults and 2 teens.

I find teaching to be extremely gratifying and rewarding, and I enjoy my students immensely. In January 2015, I will have five classes.

I have been told that a painting of mine will adorn the cover of the Rye Chamber of Commerce Map and Visitors Guide.

In October, I was honored to be one of three judges for the 62nd Annual Beaux Arts Exhibition. The show was sponsored by The Woman's Club of Rye, and ran from October 11 - 30, 2014.

I was honored to learn in early December that my painting, "Before the Curtain Rises" was awarded the Art Times Award at the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club 118th Annual Open Juried Exhibition at the National Arts Club in New York City,  December 2-19.

Personal Highlights and Accomplishments for 2013

In 2013, I was invited to be an active member of The National Society of Painters

in Casein and Acrylic, which I heartily accepted. My tenth solo exhibition, entitled “New York

City and Beyond” was held in the Rye Free Reading Room in November, and was enthusiastically received.

I was awarded second place in oils and acrylics in the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Members' Show for

”Homage to My Father: An Upholsterer’s Arrangement”. My aspirations for 2014 are to continue to

inspire, and be an inspiration for, my notable and enthusiastic adult students in my 3 classes at the

    Rye Arts Center.
