Hi!

My name is Elisabeth Gsottbauer. I am an environmental economist, focusing on how policy instruments and behavioral interventions can effectively promote more sustainable behavior.

I am an Endowed Professor and Director of the Centre for Sustainability at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and a Visiting Senior Fellow at LSEโ€™s Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change. I hold further Senior Research Fellow positions at the Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance (C-EENRG), Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge (UK) and the Department of Economics at the University of Innsbruck.

Beyond that, I am interested in effectively communicating research findings, including through visual formats (see a previous hosted exhibition Visualizing Klimawandel). And I deeply enjoy outdoor sports in the mountains and at sea.
