Hi!

My name is Elisabeth Gsottbauer. I am an environmental economist, focusing on how policy instruments and behavioral interventions can effectively promote more sustainable behavior.

I am Founding Professor at IT:U – Interdisciplinary Transformation University Austria (Linz) of AI & Sustainability Policy and Senior Research Fellow to the Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge (UK). I hold further Visiting Senior Fellow positions at LSE’s Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Department of Economics at the University of Innsbruck. I am also a member of the Competence Center for Sustainability at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.

Beyond that, I am interested in effectively communicating research findings, including through visual formats (see a previous hosted exhibition Visualizing Klimawandel). And I deeply enjoy outdoor sports in the mountains and at sea.
