I am a research data management specialist with 24 years of experience across NATO, the European Commission, and leading international universities and research centres, with a research background in knowledge engineering, spatio-temporal databases, and maritime intelligence.

Prior experience includes the solution design of interoperable geographic data infrastructures at the European Commission Joint Research Centre (2013–2014); spatio-temporal knowledge discovery and semantic anomaly detection applied to maritime security (JRC, 2010–2013); multi-granular object-oriented spatio-temporal modelling (University College Dublin, 2007–2009); and semantics for 3D models, product design, and information discovery (Italian Research Council, 2005–2007).
I received an advanced degree (February 2001) and a Ph.D. (March 2005) in Computer Science, from the University of Milan, in Italy.
