Allis-Chalmers was a major supplier of electrical equipment to utilities and industry from 1905 when it purchased Bullock Electric - manufacturer of electrical rotating equipment until the Mid 1970's when it merged operations with Siemens, which Siemens eventually took over and is currently the inheritor of most of the Allis-Chalmers electrical intellectual property
It is interesting to note that during 1905 - 1907, General Electric obtained a majority stake in Allis-Chalmers common stock
