Since its inception in August 1958, the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) has been one of the major departments at Bhailalbhai & Bhikhabhai Institute of Technology (BBIT), a grant-in-aid (Polytechnics) Vidhyanagar. Electrical Engineering has a total capacity of 60 students. Electrical machines, Control systems, Power Electronics and Power Systems, Microprocessor and Electronic Systems are all areas where the department is very active in teaching and learning.

HoD's Message:

We, the teaching faculty at Bhailalbhai & Bhikhabhai Institute of Technology, will shape students to meet society's changing needs by providing them with relevant technology inputs and hands-on experiences. We will create an environment that encourages students to pursue technological excellence, allowing them to realise their hidden potential and develop into responsive, competitive, and innovative technocrats. We will work to keep our methodological inputs up to date and use them to help teachers impart knowledge and skills to their students. We will approach the task at hand with fairness and honesty. We will serve people from all walks of life in our multiethnic, multilingual, multicultural, and socioeconomically diverse community.
