I have more than a decade of applied research experience working with nonprofit organizations in the arts, humanities, and religion. My consulting work centers on mixed-methods program evaluation, needs assessment, and data-informed strategy that help mission-driven organizations make clear, evidence-based decisions. I have partnered with seminaries, foundations, and national nonprofits, including the Doris Duke Foundation, Ford Foundation, Episcopal Preaching Foundation, Gap Year Association, and NYU's John Brademas Center, to design research protocols, train interviewers and facilitators, lead qualitative analysis, conduct archival research, and develop surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder interviews.
Across these projects, my work has supported grant development, strengthened program design, and produced actionable insights for clergy, educators, and philanthropic leaders. Whether evaluating new congregational initiatives, mapping funding landscapes, or assessing institutional needs, I translate complex data into practical, human-centered recommendations. My applied research portfolio complements my academic scholarship and reflects a commitment to helping organizations understand their communities, clarify their goals, and amplify their impact.
