I have more than a decade of applied research experience working with nonprofit organizations in education, health, the arts, and the humanities. My consulting work centers on mixed-methods program evaluation, needs assessment, user experience research, and data-informed strategy that help mission-driven organizations make clear, evidence-based decisions. I have partnered with major philanthropic foundations, national nonprofits, and educational institutions, including the Doris Duke Foundation, Ford Foundation, Episcopal Preaching Foundation, Gap Year Association, Duke Divinity School, and NYU's John Brademas Center, to design research protocols, train interviewers and facilitators, lead mixed methods analysis, conduct archival research, and develop surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder interviews.
Across these projects, my work has supported grant development, strengthened program and product design, and produced actionable insights for educators, philanthropic leaders, and non-profit organizations. Whether evaluating new programs and initiatives, mapping funding landscapes, or assessing institutional needs, I translate complex data into practical, human-centered recommendations. My applied research portfolio complements my academic scholarship and reflects a commitment to helping organizations and leaders understand their communities, clarify their goals, and amplify their impact.
