A Diesel boa is a rare gem of a designer morph. Diesel boa is a visual T+ snow project. using the RDR BEA boa (imperator) and the T+ albino Argentine boa (BCO) the diesel morph was created. 16 years ago (year 2006)when the first pairings were made both morphs were extremely rare in collections. Also note the boa called BEA at that time was from Nicaragua and considered to be a type 2 anery with black eyes. Also at that time it was well known that T2 anery was not compatible with Kahl albino and assumed not compatible with sharp albino. Later it was proven by bold pairings that Kahl and sharp are compatible with BEA and that BEA are NOT a T2 anery it was something completely different. VPI T+ albino was not an option for me because the stock I chose wasn’t thriving in my collection.
With some reservations a chose was made to use T+ BCO to be the foundation with the goal to build a firm foundation for other morph artists to build on. Limited amount of morphs and time it will be needed for others to build upon this project.
Diesel name is used to separate T+ Diesel and BEA Diesel from other T+ snow projects. The name we first used to identify these new boas was Eisel. We used blue masking tape to mark on tubs of the un-named morph and while sexing them a scribble was made that looked like a “D” shape. Eisel name with the D shape in front eventually over time became known as the Diesel boas. As we add more genes to this double recessive morph we become curious to see if the Diesel name stays or if it changes over time. Currently working on black devil diesels and fire diesels as the project continues. Love all that invested into this rare project and look forward to seeing what combos and names you come up with.
Thank you for the love and support on this rare project
