About me

I am a Professor of Economics at PSL Université Paris Dauphine and a Research Affiliate at IZA. My research interest are the economics of aging and retirement as well as the economics of preventive care. Previously, I was Deputy Head of the Research Group on Labor Demography at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock, Germany (2017-2022), and Senior Researcher in Health Economics at the Health Economics Research Centre (HERC) at the University of Oxford (2015-2017). I received my Ph.D. from the University of Hamburg, Germany, for my dissertation titled "Regional Variation and Aging in Health Economics" in June 2015. During my PhD, I worked part-time as a research associate at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW), where I was responsible for the socio-economic module of the Berlin Aging Study II (BASE-II).
