Md. Ehsanul Haque Tamal


I am working as Sr. program Manager (Research & Results-Based Monitoring) at the PKSF with the research aim to alleviate poverty and end hunger for the climate vulnerable extreme poor people. Earlier worked at the icddr,b to solve public health problems of Bangladesh with a focus on infection control and maternal & child health. Prior to that performed as a Sr. Research Analyst at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), an international research organization that aims to eliminate hunger and poverty in developing countries by providing insightful and policy-relevant research that promotes sustainable agricultural development and resource management. My research contributed to the Cereal Systems Initiative for South Asia (CSISA) focusing on agricultural development, food security, social survey etc.

Being a statistician, I am highly devoted to the research work for the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. Obtaining a Master of Development Studies and Master of Economics as well as working in different development organizations has given me the opportunity to study the challenges of our country and conduct research to overcome those. My area of research includes agricultural & economic development, social survey, climate change, public health, infection control, maternal & child health, food security.
