There are no scheduled make-up exams. A student having a documentable extreme medical emergency or family crisis must, if possible, contact the instructor before missing an exam or quiz. Emergencies will be handled individually. No credit will be given for missing an exam; it is the student’s responsibility to be available to take exams.
All exams are closed book, closed notes, with a formula sheet allowed (letter size, both sides, handwritten by your own hand, not typeset by computer).
Calculators during exams: No electronic devices that can connect to the Internet are allowed (tablets, smartphones, cell phones, etc.). Only SAT calculators are allowed; see also SAT calculator policy, Scientific and graphing calculators (wikipedia).
Attach your formula sheet to your exam paper to submit; there is a grade penalty for exam papers with missing formula sheet.
Each exam lasts for 2 periods, or 115 min (almost 2 hours).
Exam 1 : Thu, 28 Feb 2013, see e-mail archive and course calendar.
Exam 2 : Thu, 18 Apr 2013, see e-mail archive and course calendar.
