I am a researcher in computer vision and machine learning for mobile robotics. I was a post-doctoral researcher at INRIA Sophia-Antipolis in the team LAGADIC, under the direction of Dr. Patrick Rives. My research interests include Mobile Robotics, SLAM, Computer Vision, Semantic Interpretation and Deep Learning.I received the M.Sc. degree in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering in 2009 and the M.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering in 2010 from the University of Málaga.
I completed my PhD in 2014 at Universidad de Málaga (Spain), in the Machine Perception and Intelligent Robotics group (MAPIR) under the supervision of Prof. Javier González-Jiménez and Dr. Vicente Arévalo. My thesis dissertation is entitled "Contributions to metric-topological localization and mapping in mobile robotics".
In 2012 I was a research visitor in the Visual Information Laboratory at the University of Bristol (United Kingdom), where I worked under the supervision of Dr. Walterio Mayol-Cuevas.
In 2013 I worked with the research group LAGADIC in INRIA Sophia-Antipolis (France) under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Rives.
