Drifting Background

I have been sliding around in RWD cars since late 2004 when my ex-wife bought a Firebird. I have practiced at events, parking lots, mountain roads, and industrial parks in the following vehicles.

Personal Vehicles Drifted:

2000 Pontiac Firebird Formula (5.7L) Black

1985 Toyota Celica Supra (2.8L) Red

1990 Ford Mustang LX Notchback (2.3L) Black

1987 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback (5.0L) Forest Green (Painted), Dark Blue/Grey (Original Colors)

1989 Ford Mustang LX Notchback (5.0L) White

1994 Ford Mustang GT (5.0L) Blue

1997 Ford Mustang GT (4.6L) Green

1988 Ford Mustang LX (5.0L) Grey

I discovered drifting while playing the Need For Speed Underground game for the PS2 in 2003/2004. I began to get serious and the bug bit me at age 21 after going to the Falken Tires Drift Showoff on July 23rd 2005.

My first real event was at Englishtown, NJ in November of 2005. I was going through a rough custody battle during this time and sold the Firebird to pay the lawyer. It was another year before I got a Celica Supra. Never had a chance to make it to an event in that car. I blew the engine because of a unchecked oil leak. Drifting went on hold until I got a 1990 Ford Mustang LX Notchback (2.3L) in October of 2007. I messed around in it but it was in such bad shape with rust that I sold it to the junk yard.

I borrowed a friend's 2004 Ford Mustang (3.8L) for my second legal event ever in November of 2007 at Summit Point. FINALLY in April of 2008 I bought the 1987 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback (5.0L) and took it to a Summit Point event the very next month in May of 2008. Due to financial and mechanical problems I did not attended another event until March 29th 2009. During my off time I drove a friend's 2009 Mustang on the skidpad at Summit Point.

The '87 lasted me a few more events until early 2010 when I sold and bought the '89 LX Notchback that was heavily modified by its previous owner. I kept that one for a few months before selling it so I could get my first SN-95. It was a 1994 GT 5.0L and I immediately fell in love with the chassis. I had a lot of fun in the FOX chassis but the SN-95 was improved in every way. I moved to Puerto Rico in January of 2011 right after selling my 1994.

Life gets in the way sometimes but finally on 04/21/2012 I managed to get another SN-95. This one is a 1997 GT 4.6L and it has been my favorite so far. It was well worth the wait and I took it to it's first even in June of 2012 and won "1st Place Rookie Driver" at a drift event in Arecibo, PR. Sadly I locked up my motor and I had to get towed back to Caguas. I was desperate to get back on the road so I ran out and picked up a 1988 LX. It took me a few months to get it drive-able but I began playing around again in the '88. The last weekend of February 2013 the '88 was hit in the front as I was pulling out of a mini-market. It was destroyed. The next weekend I picked up a '96 doner car and with the help of two of my friends, Benjamin and Alfredo, we managed to complete the motor swap into the '97 in 3 days!
