Research Interests
My research is mainly in the overlap of empirical economic growth, economic geography, and labor economics. I am especially interested in the economic growth and development of small geographic areas, the estimation of general equilibrium effects in local labor markets, and channels of long-term persistence of shocks. With the use of micro-level data or data of small geographic areas, I try to understand how past shocks can shape today's economic landscape and which adjustment processes affected agents/areas were at work.
